New Additions to Directory of Games.
1. As you can see, game reviews are being done now. The next review should be ready by October 2, 2005, although I cannot say which game is being reviewed currently. Game reviews will now be done once or twice per month depending on the length of time I have available to ensure a thorough review is done.
2. I'll be going through tonight and adding in the Game Developer's Corner which will house interviews with random game owners. Just simple questions asking about when they first made their game(s), and the direction they're headed now, as well as tips and tricks they've learned along the way.
3. Along with this, I'll be adding the Directory of Games tools to the shadowcore.ca website. From now on, game owners that submit their game(s) to me can register a Shadowcore.ca account, and upon verifying that they indeed own the game, they'll be able to maintain information for their game via that account. This will include screenshot maintenance also, as well as campaign, banner exchange, and special offers for their game(s).
4. Over the next couple of days, I'll be working on a new portion of Directory of Games. It's been almost a year and a half now since the site opened, and it's time we shifted and started to include other types of games as well, so, with that, I'll be launching the Console Games aspect of the site. This area will house games and information for the newest consoles. As time progresses, older consoles and games will also be added, but for now, we gotta start small.
5. The Game List is going to be modified and made easier to navigate as well as become more customizable. You'll be able to sort the games listed alphabetically, by views, by passthroughs, and by votes. Along with this, I'm going to add a little bit more information so you can see at a glance which games are which, as well as paginate the pages so only 25 or so games show up per page.
6. I think I'm in need of a better Game Search and site Search module, so, I'm going to upgrade it and make it much easier to search for games. What this means is that I'll have to go through the database and modify the game information to make searching much better. You'll be able to search by price, type, delta, and pretty much anything else we collect in terms of information.
7. Since I'm sick of having 1 banner size that's not normally used by people, I think I'm going to re-slice the site to allow for 125x600 tower banners. This may very well be done tonight.
For now, that's all. If anyone has any other suggestions, feel free to comment under here and I'll get to it if it's feasible. Other than that, thanks for the support. :) |
