Game Voting Changes..
Alright, so, I've decided that restricting games from voting for 3 months after they win just isn't going to work. I WANT competition on the site, and the only way to do it is to allow games to vote every month.
Now, to work with this type of system, I've opted to give vote penalties to games that win consecutive months. For every month in a row they win, they'll receive a vote reduction of 1000 votes.
ie. A Game wins 3 months in a row, they start the next month with a vote score of -3000.
What will this accomplish? Well, it'll allow games to keep voting, thus giving them more publicity. It will also give the other games a chance to win during a month where a game has far too many voting penalties to keep up with their own vote numbers.
The vote deficit will obviously reset once a game stops winning in consecutive months. So, this will start effective December as it's not fair to give marcoland the deficit for next month. ALL games will be eligible for voting in the month of November. :) |
