Dragonshard delayed, Ghost Recon 3 re-named?

Once again, it appears that online retailers may have revealed information on two major upcoming games. First up is what looks like a substantial delay for Dragonshard, the forthcoming PC real-time strategy game set in the Dungeons & Dragons universe. According to product page on EBgames.com and GameStop.com--which are both linked to from the official Dragonshard Web site--the game will now ship in September, some three months later than its previously announced June release. The game is being developed by Liquid Entertainment (The Lord of the Rings: War of the Ring).

EBGames.com has also apparently revealed the full title of Ubisoft's first next-generation shooter, listing the forthcoming Xbox 360 game with the title "Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter." To date, the game has been referred to in all press materials and advertisements as only as "Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon 3." The new title would make sense, since the press release announcing the game mentions the fact soldiers in it will be outfitted with the "Integrated Warfighter System (IWS)...[which] combines advanced weapon systems, satellite communication devices and enhanced survivability." However, pages for all current-generation-console versions of the next Ghost Recon game all still carried the title "Ghost Recon 3," as did the PC version.

While both the Dragonshard delay and re-monikering of Ghost Recon 3 are plausible, it must be stressed neither is official--yet. As of press time, reps for Dragonshard publisher Atari had not responded to requests by GameSpot for clarification on the game's release date, and Ubisoft spokespersons politely declined to comment.
