GDC and IGN Partner for Game Developement Seminar.


IGN Entertainment has announced that it is partnering with the Game Developers Conference [organized by the CMP Game Group, which also runs Gamasutra] to produce a two-day seminar at the company's IGN Live festival, to be held from October 22nd to 23rd, 2005, at the Anaheim Convention Center in Los Angeles.

The educational lecture and roundtable series will provide gamers the opportunity to hear directly from game professionals, getting their perspective on the growing opportunities in the game industry, and prospective sessions include: 'How to Break Into the Videogame Industry', 'First Person Perspectives from First Year Developers', 'Networking 101', 'A Day in the Life of a Game Developer', and 'Career Paths in Game Development'.

Planned speakers including representatives from Electronic Arts, THQ, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and Midway Games, and appears as part of the overall IGN Live event, which will also feature playable versions of the top releases for the 2005 holiday season, live panels with video game publishers/developers, video game tournaments, and other lifestyle entertainment exhibits related to cars, gear, and music.
